Great instructional video on Insta 360 X4.

I have watched your video in preparation for taking a night to day timelapse of my own. I wanted to ask if you have recommendations for the length can I fit a full night to day timelapse in 5-10 seconds and how many pictures do I have to take for that matter or need more pictures resulting in a longer video? I´d like to know your toughts on that matter. Thanks for the video anyway. Cheers!

I use the GoPro Labs firmware update and it is really good for what I do. There are many added features that put it above the standard model. In particular, I like is the built-in timecode sync which allows me to use multiple cameras in my videos. The QRControl App saves a lot of time to set multiple cameras’ settings

Awesome video, thank you. I have a Hero 12 and I’ve found that recording at 5.3K turns off the camera due to overheating. This is under normal conditions while riding a bike in a bike trail with a lot of trees (shadows) I will be trying 4K / 30 fps / 8:7

I recently bought the Action 4 here in Mexico...the standard pack cost about 340 USD here...3 things I didnt like from the beginning...here in Mexico I couldnt buy a spare battery in the store...also they sell the Chinese model here (not sure there is a global)...but we get lots of Chinese stuff in general...lastly I hate that you are forced to install an APK file from their site that is 800mb large...I had to buy a new phone in order to use storage....my old phone was full and I couldnt remove the apps that I needed...files are large if you transfer from the camera to your phone....I bought 3rd party batteries from Aliexpress for 25 USD it came with 3 batteries + charger !!! and after testing the 3rd party batteries last much longer than the original, even has larger capacity...so well worth the money....I also bought an ND filter package from Telesin also about 30 USD...stabilization is really great and color wise I like the D-log M 10 bit

Gopro 12 4K 60 FPS Vs. Action 4 4K 60 FPS Who records how long?

Hapuna beach was disappointing. Went yesterday. The sand isn’t white but more light brown. Lani Kai or waimanalo has white sand. The water there was not turquoise but darker. Not great.

I have to do 4k at 30fps since 60fps lags in post.

Great video! I was watching another UA-cam video about this ghosting problem, and that video referenced your video, so I checked it out. Not only do you tell us HOW to get the Labs features, but you explain WHY we need them. I'm a new GoPro owner, got my Hero 11 for Christmas 2023 as a Costco bundle. I used it in January at a restaurant and got ghosting despite having hypersmooth turned on. Searching for ideas on how to prevent ghosting, I eventually found out about GoPro Labs. Your instructions were so easy to follow, that I felt satisfied just to get the software downloaded and installed. It wasn't until a week later that I decided to try the recommended setting, and I couldn't believe how easy it was! Just point the GoPro at the QR code on the screen!!! Wow, THAT is EASY! And now I get no ghosting, especially outdoors going from sun to shade. Thanks for a great, detailed tutorial.

4:57 Hi. Im looking forward to buy insta 360 x4 for recording motovlog, But im worried that if its raining and i use external microphone the mic adapter attached will broke the camera because of water. Is it still waterproof when mic adapter is attached ? Thankyouu 😁

My test, experience: this information is hardly mentioned on UA-cam. Set your OSMO Action4 to at least 1/160sec or better 1/200sec in Rock Steady mode (digital stabilizer). The stabilizer is overwhelmed with shorter exposure times and you get unusable, blurry images. So you can forget about the often recommended 25/30 images with a 50/60sec exposure time with ND filter "Motion Blur" (180 degree rule) for smooth images. You almost always need digital stabilization switched on with an action cam.

Nice video. I could use some advice. If I set my insta 360 x4 to interval to use as a nightlapse, how would I turn this into a video. I have access to 360 studio and davinci resolve free version. I know how to do this with a fixed composition, however I'm not sure how to do it with 360 images?

Another great video, you are my GoPro go to! I can’t wait to see what the 360 Max will be. I own the 9 & 12 & a ton of mods for both cameras. I always carry at least the 12 with me all the time. I also bought a Sony Alpha so I have been using it a lot, just because it’s new to me. I use the Volta all the time also!! Thanks for your time you take to make these videos that really helps me out!
